There are many uses for this program. You could plot crime data to make crime hot spot areas. If you run a large internet business you could plot sales data to make sales areas for your clients. You could plot train times if you run a train company. Or you could put all your trade post code locations on a map to use for planning, before putting out a new business. You could plot a customers post code to make a "hot spot area" for their business and then put in a sales person to target that area. Or put in a person to listen to customer complaints to find out where their complaint area is. This is just the tip of the iceberg. You can use any data you can get your hands on. Common examples are post code/address, post code/metro, post code/address/distance, suburb, district, country, region, state, county, town, and city. Post code/address to post code/address/city, suburb to suburb, district to district, country to country, and country to city. You can also add latitude, longitude, UTM coordinates and much, much more. Data Map Pins is a GIS. Anything plotted on a map becomes a way of making sense of the data that is plotted. You can combine this with the data from any other area of interest and this means you can then analyse everything together. Data Map Pins can be used to make a geographical information system. A GIS is very good for organising and analysing geographical data. You can pull together data that you can then manipulate in many ways. You can use GIS to plan and organise.
